The 67^th Annual Meeting was held on Saturday March 29, 2008 with breakfast at the Moose Lodge. Sixty-three members were in attendance. Incumbents Art Schrader, Dennis Long and Sherri Konya were re-elected to the Board of Directors. Raymond Long and George Tschida II were appointed to the Supervisory Committee. Pam Hunsley presented the 2008 $500 Lloyd Schuster Scholarship to Samantha Schoff who will graduate from LaPorte H.S. with honors and will continue her education at Valparaiso University this fall. There were door prizes and a 50/50 drawing for $65.00. When you attend our annual meeting, you can expect to see the democratic process happen, have good food and enjoy great fellowship. It’s a Tradition—Pass It On!

We've planted lots of lovely flowers and shrubs around our new building here on Monroe Street. Unfortunately, the weeds grow just as briskly as our new landscaping plants.

We are looking for a group of "green thumb" volunteers who would be interested in helping keep our landscaping weed free and beautiful. If you are interested in helping us out, give either Carolyn or Kandi a phone call at 362-3741.

Samantha Schoff is the well-deserved recipient of the Lloyd Schuster Memorial Scholarship for 2008. She will be attending Valparaiso University in the fall pursuing a degree in Music Education. We wish Samantha all the best and good luck in her educational endeavors. Congratulations!
